The House Committee on Welfare of Children chaired by BHW party-list Representative Angelica Natasha Co opened 31st National Children’s Month celebration in the House of Representatives with a renewed commitment to continually empower and improve the lives of children.

In her speech during the event’s opening program, Rep. Co underscored the House’s crucial role in shaping the lives of children, having the power to formulate policies and programs that will provide them the necessary tools and resources so they could succeed and create a positive impact to society.

Former Committee on the Welfare of Children chairperson Yedda Marie Romualdez—who urged her colleagues to continue empowering and protecting the rights of children—led the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the art exhibit which is part of Children’s Month celebration.

Among those who attended the opening ceremony are Reps. Irene Gay Saulog, Laarni Lavin Roque, Arlene Brosas, Marissa “Del Mar” Magsino, France Castro, Lianda Bolilia, and Jude Acidre.
