The House Committee on Welfare of Children chaired by BHW party-list Representative Angelica Natasha Co opened 31st National Childrenβs Month celebration in the House of Representatives with a renewed commitment to continually empower and improve the lives of children.
In her speech during the eventβs opening program, Rep. Co underscored the Houseβs crucial role in shaping the lives of children, having the power to formulate policies and programs that will provide them the necessary tools and resources so they could succeed and create a positive impact to society.
Former Committee on the Welfare of Children chairperson Yedda Marie Romualdezβwho urged her colleagues to continue empowering and protecting the rights of childrenβled the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the art exhibit which is part of Childrenβs Month celebration.
Among those who attended the opening ceremony are Reps. Irene Gay Saulog, Laarni Lavin Roque, Arlene Brosas, Marissa βDel Marβ Magsino, France Castro, Lianda Bolilia, and Jude Acidre.
