The CWC Localization and Institutionalization Division (LID) staff provided a technical assistance session at the Regional Committee for the Welfare of Children (RCWC) I Regional Plan of Action for Children (RPAC) Enhancement Workshop on 7-9 September 2023 at M Royale, San Juan, La Union. The event was attended by the RCWC I Technical Working (TWG) members from the Regional Offices of DILG, DOH, DSWD, DepEd, DA, NEDA, PNP, NNC, CHR, JJWC, DOLE, POPCOM, PIA, OCD, and RCWC I Secretariat.
The workshop facilitated the revision and improvement of Chapters 1-8 of the draft RCWC I RPAC to ensure its alignment with the 4th NPAC in line with the seven (7) pillars: survival, development, protection, participation, children left behind, water, climate change and environment, and RCWC structure.
At the end of the activity, the RCWC I agreed on the submission of additional inputs by the TWG members. The RPAC will be presented for review and approval to the RCWC on 18 September 2023.
Courtesy call visit to RCWC I Chairperson RD Marie Angela Gopalan discussed actions points on how RCWC I can fully support and strategically implement the RPAC aligned with the goals of the 4th NPAC.
