The Safer Internet Day Celebration took place at Astoria Plaza Ortigas on February 6, 2025, marking a significant moment for digital safety awareness of children. The event featured a Regional Dialogue of ASEAN Members and the Launch of the Digital Safety Animation. ๐ŸŒŸ
The day kicked off with an inspiring speech from Hon. Yanti Kusamawardhani, Chair of the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children, who emphasized how online risks mirror offline risks, urging everyone to unite for a safer digital world. ๐ŸŒ
The event was further enlivened by vibrant multicultural dance performances from child representatives of Indonesia, Nepal, and the Philippines, showcasing the diversity and unity of our efforts. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ

The spotlight then shifted to the Z Defendersโ€”youth advocates who shared their powerful messages on digital safety. They reflected on their experiences navigating the online world, highlighting both the positive and negative sides. They bravely spoke about how harmful online experiences impact their rights to protection, freedom of expression, and well-being. Their call to action, โ€œOur Voice, Our Power,โ€ echoed across the room, urging stakeholders to step up and make digital spaces safer. ๐Ÿ’ป
