CWC and Soroptimist International Sign MOA for Child Rights Advocacy Partnership Launching

The Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Soroptimist International (SI) of the Philippines Region on Monday, 04 July 2016 at the Club Filipino in San Juan City.

The MOA defines the promotion of children’s rights to education through this year’s One Million Lapis Campaign and support in the conduct of advocacy activities and special events on children such as the Girl-Child Week celebration and National Children’s Month celebration.

The SI, as one of the major partners of CWC committed to support the campaign in the achievement of the One Million Lapis and Guinness Book of World Records for the Longest Line of Pencils. As part of their engagement, the SI initially turned-over 10,000 pencils out of the 50,000 pencils they have committed to the One Million Lapis Campaign project.
