Recently, a trending Facebook post made by an alleged supporter of Duterte named Shawie Constantino Enriquez made offensive remarks on actress Melai Cantiveros, her husband Jason Francisco, and to her two-year old daughter Mela.

Melai and Jason are known supporters of Mar Roxas. Both of them are making appearances on political advertisements for the presidential candidate.

Melai took offense of Enriquez’s post and expressed her sentiments via Instagram account, further stressing that the latter went too far by wishing her daughter to be raped.

Melai also threatened to file charges to Enriquez and further calls the attention of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Bantay Bata for appropriate action.

The Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) urges everyone with the election fever to be responsible netizens and be sensitive on making defamatory remarks (i.e. rape, sexual abuse) on somebody, especially to the children.
