The Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), in partnership with the Polytechnic University of the
Philippines (PUP) through its Research Institute for Human and Social Development (RIHSD), formally
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 07 April 2026, signaling a strengthened collaboration in advancing child welfare research in the country. Anchored in a shared vision of an inclusive, child-friendly Philippines, this partnership underscores their commitment to promoting research that is not only rigorous and ethical, but also responsive to the pressing needs of policymakers and communities, particularly in advancing the rights and welfare of children.
The signing ceremony was graced by CWC Executive Director Undersecretary Angelo M. Tapales, Division Chief Vladimir Cabrera of the Policy Planning and Research Division, and their team, alongside PUP Vice President for Research, Extension and Development Dr. Anna Ruby P.
