Advancing Children’s Rights Through Research: A CWC–DLSU Partnership

April 13 marks a significant step forward in strengthening research efforts for children’s rights, as the CWC–DLSU Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed, formalizing collaboration between the two institutions. The signing brought together representatives from the child welfare and academic sector. The Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) was represented by Undersecretary Angelo M. Tapales, Mr. Vladimir B. Cabrera of the Policy, Planning, and Research Division, and the Research Consortium on Children’s Right secretariat.
De La Salle University (DLSU) was represented by Br. Bernard S. Oca, FSC, University President; Dr. Raymond Tan, Vice President for Research and Innovations; Dr. Homer J. Yabut, RPsy, Director of the Social Development Research Center; Dr. Ador R. Torneo, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts; and other members of the academic community. More than a signing, this moment is a convergence of minds and mission—where research becomes
action, and collaboration becomes impact for every Filipino child.
